MUSIC VIDEO: Filmed in Vanuatu, The Black Seeds ‘One by One’

Fest’Napuan international dub reggae act the Black Seeds, a New Zealand group who performed at the 2007 festival, filmed this music video around Efate while they were here in Vanuatu.

Some trivia for you: the Black Seeds’ vocalist is none other than Bret McKenzie of musical-comedy duo Flight of the Conchords, who had a brilliant hit television series of the same name in the USA a few years ago. They’re very funny – check out Flight of the Conchords on Youtube at this link. McKenzie is also an Academy Award winner.

Another trivia fact: this song featured as the soundtrack of a key scene of the popular US television series Breaking Bad!

The Black Seeds also made this on-location documentary about the making of this music video:

Tankiu tumas, particularly as I helped organize the Black Seeds visit and my son is (at least was at that time) the bass player! Only trouble is I can’t open the clip although I’m pretty sure I have already seen the videos.
Always loved the Fest’Napuan – long may it continue.
