Vanuatu daily news Digest | 13 March 2015

We’re still mired in the muck of PAM and will be for quite a while. PAM is out to the north and east of Maewo, but an increasing worry to Shefa as well as everywhere else. It seems a much broader system than those we usually encounter, but so be it, and here’s what the Met said not so long ago.

Destructive storm force winds of 110 KM/HR, gusting to 160 KM/HR will affect PENAMA, MALAMPA and extending to SHEFA provinces. Winds will increase to very destructive hurricane force winds in these areas, of 125 KM/HR, gusting to 185 KM/HR in the next 6 to 12 hours as the system moves south southwest.

The power is bound to go off, so the Digest is doing so, too. I will gfet back to you when it is all over.
