The big news was really yesterday’s: the kava ban has been on trial in the German Administrative Court and it has ruled that the European ban on kava is both unlawful and inappropriate. The Daily Post story says the ruling means that not only the European ban is lifted, but also bans in American, Australia and New Zealand. A German scientist appointed by the Pacific Kava Exporting countries to conduct research, Mathias Schmidt, said the beverage is free of the claims made by the German company BfArM. A 40-page judgement is involved.
